I am the main transportation for my teenage son. It won’t be like that for long. Within the next year, he will have a drivers liscense. When that happens, he’s be on his own. Till then, I am the guy who picks him up after school, takes him to band concerts and events, and transports him to be with his friends.
In our travels we often stop at our local to enjoy a bit of icecream (a Frosty) from a nearby Wendys.
Nearly every Frosty he’s eaten in the last year has been free, thanks to a special coupon. After making a contribution to the local Richmond SCPA, we were given a coupon (a card on the keychain) that provided us with a free Frostry with any other purchase for the next twelve months at any Richmond, VA area Wendys. I get a softdrink, my son eats a Frosty.
This kind of promotion is a win-win-win situation.
The local charity wins because it gets a contribution to do its good work.
The fast food place gets a chance to partner with the charity and build customer loyalty.
The person with the discount card gets to eat lots of snacks.
The typical offers lots of coupons from all the standard methods: newsprint, websites, television, etc. But this version of the coupon is one of my favorite. Its the kind of thing that has built customer loyalty from me with Wendys.
